Cynthia is a family law attorney practicing primarily in Seattle/King County and a founding board member and past president of QLaw: The LGBT Bar Association of Washington as well as a graduate of the Washington State Bar Association Leadership Institute.  Cynthia frequently presents before public and professional groups on LGBT-specific legal issues and other family law matters.

Cynthia has been selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine for 8 years in a row (2010-2017), an honor bestowed upon fewer than 2% of the lawyers in Washington. Additionally, Cynthia holds a 10/10 rating on Avvo, achieving top ratings for experience, industry recognition and professional conduct.  Prior to starting the Law Offices of Cynthia F. Buhr PLLC, Cynthia worked for Spencer Anderson Buhr PLLC as a family law attorney handling numerous trials, motions, mediations and adoptions.
